STX Beacon: Time Clock
The Time Clock feature in the Beacon system allows each worker to clock in and out each day, as many times as necessary, or apply scheduled hours to the time clock.
Each clock entry is used when processing compensation and can be edited by the owner or any worker with the proper security permissions.
To use the Time Clock, start by clicking the Time Clock option in the Home page or by clicking the tab located underneath the page header.
Clock In and Clock Out
When a Worker logs into the Beacon system, the Entry tab will display a Worker PIN field. Enter any valid Worker PIN.
The worker name associated with the PIN will appear. The Clock In / Clock Out button will be available, as well as the Apply Schedule checkbox.
To clock in, click the Clock In button. The Time In will reflect the exact time the Clock In button was clicked. The Clock In button will switch to a Clock Out button.
To clock out, click the Clock Out button. The Time Out will reflect the exact time the Clock Out button was clicked. The Clock Out button will switch back to a Clock In button.
Hours will calculate after clocking in and out, and will be calculated for each Clock In / Clock Out action.
Rather than using the Clock In and Clock Out buttons, check the Apply Schedule checkbox.
The Worker’s schedule will be applied to the Time In and Time Out columns, and the Hours will calculate accordingly.
Click Save to save the clock entries and leave the Time Clock page, returning to Home.
Click Cancel to discard the clock entries and leave the Time Clock page, returning to Home.
Each time the Time Clock is opened, all previous Clock In and Clock Out entries will be hidden from view. Only Clock In entries where there is no corresponding Clock Out entries will be visible.
Click the Adjustments tab to view all Clock In and Clock Out entries for each calendar date.
With the proper security permissions, the Adjustments tab allows editing, removing, and adding clock entries for any selected calendar date.
The Adjustments tab will display all Worker names where the Time Clock was used, with each action performed on the Entry tab.
Use the Select Date field to select a specific date. All clock entries for the selected date will appear.
Time In: Displays the Clock In action, or the start time from the Apply Schedule action. This field can be edited as needed.
Time Out: Displays the Clock Out action, or the end time from the Apply Schedule action. This field can be edited as needed.
Calculate Hours: Click the Calculate Hours button to update the calculated Hours after editing the Time In and/or Time Out fields.
Add entries by clicking the green (+) button.
Remove entries by clicking the red (x) button.
Click Save to save changes and leave the Time Clock page, returning to Home.
Click Cancel to discard changes and leave the Time Clock page, returning to Home.
