STX Beacon: Setup Worker Merchant Accounts
Setup Merchant Accounts
If your workers have individual merchant accounts, outside of the company merchant account, you must setup the worker record with the merchant information.
Go to Setup > Setup Workers > Worker Details and click the name of the worker with a merchant account. Go to the Other tab.
Merchant Account: Payment Gateway
Use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate gateway for your merchant account.
Merchant Terminal ID
Enter the ID obtained from the merchant gateway upon signing up for an account.
Merchant Shared Secret
Enter the Shared Secret obtained from the merchant gateway upon signing up for an account.
Payment Gateway: AnywhereCommerce:
• What AnywhereCommerce terms Terminal ID will be entered into the appropriate field in Beacon.
• What AnywhereCommerce terms Shared Secret will be entered into the appropriate field in Beacon.
For testing purposes, check the Test checkbox to send credit card transactions to a test account, rather than to the worker’s account. When you’re ready to have transactions posted to the worker’s account, be sure to remove the check on the Test checkbox. If the Test checkbox is checked, no deposits will be made for credit card transactions into the worker’s account.
Click Save when the merchant account setup is complete.
Select Merchant Account at Check Out
When worker merchant accounts are setup in Beacon, the ticket will display the option for selecting the appropriate merchant account prior to processing an electronic payment.
IMPORTANT: Select the appropriate Merchant Account BEFORE clicking the Charge button or selecting an electronic payment type from the Payments tab. All available Merchant Accounts will be listed.
After you have selected the appropriate Merchant Account, click either the Charge button to charge the full ticket balance, or select an electronic payment type from the Payments tab.
Continue processing the electronic payment as usual.
