STX Beacon: Opening and Closing

Launch Beacon using any of the following:

  • STXBeacon.app using a Mac OS X computer/laptop       

  • Chrome browser at www.stxbeacon.cloudforce.com

  • iOS Mobile App on Apple mobile devices                         

  • Android Mobile App on Android mobile devices

The Login page will appear.

Simply type in your credentials and press the Return key or press the "Log In" button.

Click the Forgot your password? hyperlink if you have forgotten your password.

Clocking In

After logging into Beacon, your Dashboard will appear.

Using the top row navigational Tabs, click the Time Clock option.

Enter the required Worker PIN.

The Clock In button will appear. Click Clock In to clock in for the day. Click the Save button to save the entry.

Daily Routine: Appointments

After saving your Clock In entry, the Home page will appear.

Click the Appointments button. 

The Appointment Calendar/List page will appear.

  1. Check the Waiting List for clients waiting for an open appointment time.

  2. Check the Message Board for daily messages.

  3. Check for any appointment Notes relating to the booked client.

  4. Use the Check In button to check in a client upon arrival.

  5. Use the Check Out button to check out a client upon completion of the appointment.

Daily Routine: Check Out

Using the top row navigational Tabs, click the Check Out option to create a New Ticket, add Refunds, sell Memberships, or perform a Cash In/Out transaction.

When going to the Check Out tab, a new ticket will automatically appear. Use the new ticket for any walk-in sales that are not related to an existing appointment, such as Products or Gifts. 

To add Refunds, sell Memberships, or perform a Cash In/Out transaction, click the Check Out List breadcrumb. 

The Check Out List page will appear.

  1. Click the Memberships button to sell a new membership.

  2. Click the Refunds button to add a Service or Product refund.

  3. Click the Cash In / Out button to perform the appropriate transaction.

  4. Click the New Ticket button to create a new ticket.

  5. Click the Ticket # hyperlink to view an existing open ticket.

Closing: Reports

  1. Use the Total Sheet report to view the totals for the day.

  2. Use the Daily Cash Drawer report to help balance for the day.

  3. Use the Ticket Details interactive report to verify totals, including payment types for the day.

  4. Use the Electronic Payment Details report to view all electronic payments for the day.

  5. Use the Worker Tips report to verify tip disbursement - Tip Left in Drawer vs Tip Paid Out.

Closing: Clock Out and Logout

Using the top row navigational Tabs, click the Time Clock option. Enter the required Worker PIN.

The Clock Out button will appear. Click Clock Out to clock out for the day. Click the Save button to save the entry.

After saving your Clock Out entry, the Home page will appear.

Click the Logout button to log out of the Beacon system.
